If someone talking about “Suan Dok” Many people would think that it means a place in Chiang Mai, but Suandok in today’s issue referred to little coffee shop in Chiang Rai “Cafe’ de Suandok” (Coffee in flowers garden) or “はなそのコーヒー”(Hanazano=flower garden) in Japanese language. Why Japanese? ,because this little super cute coffee shop operated by Japanese lady who falling in love with Thailand’s beauty. She has Thai husband ,both of them created this little coffee shop many years ago because of the passion in coffee.
Coffee here is unique. First of all they plant their own coffee ,hand-roasted coffee beans using clay pots no mechanization in coffee roasting as elsewhere which makes a uniquely coffee aroma.
You may patience in order to get a cup of coffee because each cup of coffee barista used elaborate craftsmanship in brewing and with attention to details. Although the coffee shop here is small but it has great in taste.
Most cup of coffees here invented by their own secret recipe, some cup will added alcohol such as rum, whisky for taste and aroma reasons. Do not worry that you are going to be drunk because they added just a little bit amount of alcohol.
If you are the one who enjoy the taste that bit more sweet. Cappuccino and caramel coffee would be a glass of your favorite.
In addition to the coffee. The coffee shop also has desserts to be chosen as options such as chocolate mousse, mousse, jelly, chocolate ball or even alcohol mixed mousse. Most of the dishes will be decorated with green leaf.
Green tea and variety of smoothies here which shouldn’t miss (Japan is famous in green tea).
Iced-roselle with milk foam is best for customers who prefered non-cafeine one. They planted their own roselle as well.
Prices are very cheap compared to the quality you got. Hot coffee is around 35-45 THB.
