Let’s go for bird riding! sounds weird? I’m not kidding, ostrich is the largest living bird in the worl which you can ride them. In Chiang Rai there are, aside from swimmingpools, very few places to visit with children. If not to say hardly any. The Wana Horse and Ostrich farm is a fine exeption. It’s not battery-driven digital, no, it’s real! There are rabbits, small horses, sheep, ducks and many beautiful ostriches.

There are trees that offer shadow and nice places to sit and enjoy food and drink. Children can feed the animals, touch them and even ride on top of them. They can even enjoy the view of their fathers or mothers when they are riding an ostrich for the first time in their life.

Children can ride on the ponies and whole families can drive around in a horse carriage. It’s an adventure for young and old! Children love it and the parents can enjoy a relaxed moment because they know everything is safe.

The friendly young staff takes good care of the children and they add certainly to the friendly and happy atmosphere of this wild-west themed little park where ‘cowboy music’ softly fills the air. There is also a cafe/shop that serves cold/hot drinks & souvenirs.A nice afternoon out & kids wil love it !.

The prices of food and attractions are very mild.Wana Farm is located in the Mueang district of Chiang Rai off Chiang Rai-Toeng Road on Soi Ban Hua Doi. This open air restaurant is situated on a horse and ostrich farm. It serves a variety of Thai foods with an emphasis on ostrich meat, service hours is 9.00-21.00 everyday. PS: Also without children you will probably enjoy it because of its nice location and environment and the pleasant and unpretentious way things are set up. This farm also have accommodation with Cowboy Style at a price of around 1,650 THB/night.
